This line has been designed so that raw materials can either:- (a)pass through all 3 processes, which will be the case for most items, or
(b)pass directly to the laser scanner The whole system has been designed to handle the products as gently as possible to reduce the amount of broken and split nuts. In fact the gravity separator removes 90% of broken nuts, nibs, etc. It is capable of running at up to 5 tonnes per hour, but we have found that the optimum level is around 3 – 3.5 tonnes per hour.

The system is totally enclosed with dust extractors taking the dust to an outside bin, to ensure the product remains as clean and as dust free as possible.

We made many trips to Machinery Manufacturers in Europe in order to find the best equipment available for this very important procedure. Numerous on-line trials were conducted on different operating systems, but we were convinced that the BEST TWIN laser-sorting machine is far superior to any of the other alternatives.

We clean most nuts such as Peanuts, Hazelnuts, Almonds, Pecans, Brazils, and Cashews.

LMC Destoner and Aspirator – takes out stones, mud balls and any items heavier than the actual nuts. The Aspirator removes bits of nut skins, hairs, dust and any lightweight objects.
